Positions, scoring, fouls, key terms and junior game durations — the same rules reference built into the Squaddie app.
High-scoring team sport played under FIBA rules in NZ and Australia, and NFHS rules in US high schools.
Based on FIBA Official Basketball Rules, used by Basketball NZ and Basketball Australia, with NFHS differences noted for US high schools (not NBA rules). Local junior grades often play halves on a running clock, lower the hoop and drop the shot clock.
Two teams of five try to score by shooting the ball through the opponent's hoop, while defending their own. The clock stops on whistles, so games run longer than their playing time — squads of 10–12 give enough depth for regular subs.
