🏐 Volleyball — Rules of the Game

Positions, scoring, fouls, key terms and junior game durations — the same rules reference built into the Squaddie app.

Net sport built around rallies, rotation, and a strict three-touch limit — 6v6, with 4v4 for younger players.

Based on FIVB Official Volleyball Rules, as adopted by Volleyball NZ, Volleyball Australia and USA Volleyball (NFHS for US high schools). Primary and junior grades play 4v4 on smaller courts with lower nets and lighter balls.

Two teams hit the ball over a net, trying to ground it in the opponent's court while preventing the same. Every rally ends in a point, regardless of who served. High school and senior play is always 6v6; primary-age players usually start with 4v4 on a smaller court.
